Size
The size of the award has a significant impact on the die/mould cost. But it also has a significant impact on the unit price of the award because of its metal content.
For instance, the unit price of a 50mm (2″) medal can be 35 % lower than that of a 73mm (2.9″) medal only on the basis of the size difference, and not taking the die cost difference into account (see the “Die creation and order repetition” section on this website).
