Antique Silver Plating
The “Antique Silver” finishing is one of our specialities: first the bronze medal is silver-plated, then it is completely blackened through sulfurization and finally it is manually polished so that just a little bit of black patina delicately highlights the relief.
The combination of the silver plated relief with the fine black patina details provides the medal with abundant lustre.

Bronze Finishing
Bronze finishing is also quite popular among true connoisseurs of medals.
Our medals are mainly made of bronze. Hence, the bronze finishing process merely consists of oxidizing the piece to create a uniform patina, and then manually polishing it so that only a perfectly adequate quantity of patina is left to highlight the reliefs.
The exact colour of the bronze can vary a bit from one creation to the next, depending on the copper content of the material and other processing parameters.

Gold plating
A thin layer of gold is electroplated on the bronze material.
Depending on the customized metal artwork, gold plating can be:
- Semi-matte in order to clearly show the subtleties of the design.
- Bright or shiny to highlight a coloured artwork.
Gold plating fits perfectly well with polished details and touches of colours.
