Back or No Back
Many customized medals have a dedicated back side. Creating a back side has three effects on the project budget:
- It adds a sharing cost to the creation of the back die;
- It slightly increases the cost of the medal since stamping the back usually requires an additional stroke in the stamping process;
- It might allow re-using the same face of the medal for another event, if for example the date of the first event is shown in the back of the medal rather than on its face.
